I went to my local Marshall's, which is actually pretty new. It was a glorious evening and the glow of the Marshall's sign sang songs of promise and adventure into my heart.

A sub-sign proclaimed SHOE MEGASHOP. I was a little skeptical.
If I walked in and didn't see aisles and aisles of shoes, I was going to be sad.

Oh, but there were. As far as the eye could see (okay, well stretching nearly all the way to the back of the store) were rows and rows of sweet little chaussures. I could barely contain my delight, especially after scanning the types of designers and crazy low prices they had going on.

So, I started taking pictures left and right. Here are some of them.

It was hard for a girl like me to be around such awesome shoes and not want to start trying them on. So, I turned to my dear, sweet boyfriend and asked if he would take pictures of me trying on some shoes. As he crouched down near my feet with the camera he said loudly, "The things I do for you and your foot fetish website!" Many a middle-aged lady turned their heads in my directions as I blushed and stammered. Despite the slight embarrassment, I did experience an unexpected bonus: they gave me, Crazy Foot Fetish Lady, a wide berth while shopping so I didn't have to fight anyone over the stacked heels I had an eye on.
Here is my feets in shoes! Forgive the ghastly paleness of my legs. Now you know that I am actually a ghost.

Since I was to go on vacation soon (Wilmington, NC! Hollah!), I decided to spend my g/c on sandals. I went with these Steve Madden's (in dark royal blue) and some brown sandals (not pictured). I am in love with the SM sandals and wear them constantly. The brown sandals disappointed me greatly. They exploded the first day I wore them and are beyond repair. I was crushed. Those were going to be my "walking around Carolina Beach" sandals. They didn't even last a day. This is the designer's fault way more than it is Marshall's fault, but those low prices mean just paying a tiny bit more attention to the quality of the shoe before you buy them.
After I was done salivating over the shoes, I headed over to women's clothes, where to my delight I found such pretty frocks and fripperies as to make me wish I had a g/c for clothes instead. They had an incredible selection of dresses and it took a lot of will-power not to paw through them. Plus, I had tortured my poor boyfriend long enough. He put up with me examining something close to 100 shoes before I decided on what to buy. I'm usually the swiftest, most exacting shopper out there but I really wanted to explore my options since I was going to be writing up my experience.
So, if you're in need of stylish, affordable shoes, I do recommend shopping at Marshall's MegaShoe boutique. It's like DSW, but with the added bonus of having some seriously cute attire on hand to peruse.

I am salivating over the brown leather wedge sandals you so kindly photographed. :) Having spent $190 on new tango shoes this month I am barred from entering a shoe store any time soon (be it Marshall's or DSW), but I will have to make a note to visit when I next allow myself to do so ...
