Open Letter

Dear PR Company/Advertising Execs/Etc.,

It's nice to know that you stumbled across my blog and that you read it and think that it's amazing, but I remain skeptical as to the veracity of that particular opening line. If you'd read my blog you'd realize that I haven't been active in a long time and really am not on "the cutting edge" of fashion blogging. In fact, I have no idea what's in this season. You should tell me that you're majorly disappointed in me, but that means you'd actually have to read my blog.

False flattery aside, I do not want to do a write-up of your product, and I can't go to any low-budget fashion shows in New York City (especially considering that I live in Oklahoma City - which you would know if you actually did read my blog).

I don't plan on being a mouth-piece for any organization, product, or company for pay or for free. Anything I talk about on this blog originates as a true interest to me.

-Grace

That is a little weird that they would send that to you when you haven't posted in a while...

Going to New York to do something could be a good opportunity depending on what it was for and your situation but it seems like it's just not viable for most people.

Hey twinnie...
We beg for a post and get such a short one 9am weeping in disappointment). Since I am a publicist, I will let you in on the secret: We continue to send info to people who actually haven't been on the scene for a while for as long as we are sure you are still in the same position in the hope that maybe something will catch your eye and you will respond to it - such are the poor states of our jobs.
