Presenting: Althea Harper

Maybe it's my Leo nature, but I love being right. When I blogged about Jonathan Cohen and Althea Harper as two brand new designers to watch for at NYFW, I made sure to keep an eye out for their collections. They both rated as successes in the ensuing fashion coverage, and I had a smug "told ya so," moment. It's not like I'm a veteran fashion writer/editor on par with the likes of Vreeland or Wintour, but I have a good eye, and when I see potential it's for good reason.

Althea Harper's publicist contacted me with pictures of the latest collection and I proudly present them to you. Don't be fooled by the minimalist palette. Althea is ahead of the curve when it comes to creating chic, simple and covetously hip ensembles.

This collection had a seriously sophisticated "It Girl" cool vibe going on. I can see Aniston in the printed "Bobbi" dress, Lohan in the wave leggings, Blake Lively in the Sabrina dress, and, um, ME in the Adam Jacket and Kelly Shorts. Not that I'm an "it girl," but like most fashion dames, I aspire to one.
